A Little Help From Our Friends
It’s early out here in “Sillyville” but my morning cup of “Joe” is especially sweet. AWY is just three weeks old and I’m thinking about the incredible support from our friends and supporters. Seems everybody (OK almost everybody) is finding it more satisfying to say yes instead of no. In my years of banging along on this planet the opposite is the norm. Our FB friends are telling their friends, our Twitter family is tweeting away and YouTube is vital and alive. Thinks me, that’s kinda cool!
AWY will continue to strive to thrive because everybody seems to care and “get it” when it comes to our mission. Well maybe not everyone…The LA Times is yet to give us one little line, even though we are based here (but that’s another story).
So as I savor another cup it seems a good time for an AWY shout out of thanks to a few of those who don’t seem to know where the no-button is. It’s risky to name a few because I’ll leave out so many, but truth be told you know who you are and your cup is as sweet as mine. So here goes!
Joe Mantegna and Tomas Gibson on the set of “Criminal Minds” yesterday, Vin and Sandra Scully, Basketball legend Jerry West, Al Michaels (a guy who really cares), Chris O’Donnell who is so nice he’s even civil to TMZ, the incredible folks at CareerBuilder (I don’t know how they do what they do, but without them we would be dead in the water), The Huffington Post, Southwestern Energy who demonstrated their support from Day-1,Third Way (who really get it, Molly (more about her later), CNN, The Young Turks, Waste Management, and even that crazy guy Larry from “Sit and Sleep”!
So many thanks and too many more to mention, but especially to you, our supporters and friends, it’s a national grass roots initiative and you will make AWY grow.
I’m going to have a third cup today and maybe sneak out in the back and have a smoke (I know!).
God bless all of you and God bless our great Country!
