The Little Engine that Could
I like to think that today is going to better than yesterday, it may be kind of a Pollyanna approach to life but it seems to work for me. Today is one of those days! My morning cup o “joe” was especially tasty and when I went outside on the stoop for my my first unmentionable of the day the sky was especially blue. It’s a shout out day, the message is being heard in the corner offices large and small. The first pat on the back goes to the good folks at NBC/Universal for announcing their initiative with the Chamber to sponsor and promote job fairs across our great Country. AWY salutes those who understand the mission and take a pro-active stand. And then there are good folks at the “house of the mouse” (Disney) who have made a decisive pledge to hire our Vets. Heard this morning from Ann Moore-Rowley of Kelly Services and she wants to do her fair share, just wants to know how (AWY will gladly take care of that). AWY’s good friend Jon Soltz gave a congratulatory shout out on MSNBC with a kudos for those who are beginning to get it.
AWY is kinda like the “little engine that could”, we pound out our message and stick to our mission. We salute those who get it and are doing something. AWY wants to urge all of the big guns in corner offices to step up and do “their” thing. If you and your company are unclear as to what to do and how to do it, we are more than eager to help.
AWY is and always will be a grass roots initiative that is based on the founding principle of Americans helping Americans. That’s how we get things done in this great Country.
AWY salutes all of you and we hope to salute many more and soon! If we all do our part we can and will make a difference for the men and women who keep America free and safe.
So yes I’m a happy guy. AWY is gaining traction and the word is being received. So the sky really is a little bluer this morning because many are trying to do their fair share.
God bless all of you for helping and God bless America.
